WHY BUILD?

One of the greatest advantage is you are much more likely to get exactly what you want. For many, this factor alone is enough to choose to build over buying. If you build your house from the ground up, you’ll get to customise the details to match your lifestyle and preferences—from the layout, cabinets and flooring to the sinks, lighting, paint colours and doorknobs! Nonetheless, there are other advantages too. You will have a more energy efficient home that meets new energy codes and standards for heating, ventilation, and cooling, plus insulation and air filtration, which leads to lower energy bills. Newly built homes also are up to date with the current building codes and technologies so you probably won’t have to worry about heavy maintenance and repairs.

Building a new home may not be as convenient as purchasing an existing home but it is extremely rewarding to be able to start fresh as the first home owners and enjoy your new life. In addition, new builds tend to be in new suburbs, which have shown tremendous appreciation in the first three years of the suburb infrastructure development. A better life, a better house and a better financial future- why not?

What is the Building Process?

1) First payment

A $5000 First Payment is collected to start on your customised plans for your unique block. You will be in contact with the Builder and Architect to brainstorm your ideas. This can be done remotely.

2) Draft Inclusions and Selections

The floor plan drafts, inclusions and colour selections are done in-house or remotely.

3) Seeing in Believing

Book a virtual tour or a physical tour of one of your builders’ finished builds.

4) Exchange of Contracts

Both the land and building contract will be sent to your solicitor and lender to be checked through and executed. Your deposit less the $5000 paid, will be paid through your solicitor.

5) Construction Begins

In approximately 4 weeks, approval should be received and your house is on its way!

6) Site Inspection

Your Builder and his team will be sending you progress report emails and videos along the way on how the build is processing.

7) Key Handover

The House is finally complete and you can nominate someone to collect the keys on your behalf from the solicitor once the final progress payment is made.

8) Maintenance Period

Your Builder should have a minimum 90 days Maintenance period for the internal fit out. During this time, your builder will be responsible for any issues in the house.
